Singers live longer and more fully...

Like all musical study, vocal study builds discipline and self-confidence and cultivates a broader and more nuanced relationship to music and culture. But singing is particular for its health benefits. Singers who engage in serious study experience lower heart rates, decreased blood pressure, and reduced stress.
Singing also:
Strengthens and develops lungs
(esp. helpful for those struggling w/ sleep apnea, asthma or panic disorders)
Supports immune function • Improves neurological & neuromuscular coordination • Increases oxygen levels in blood • Improves memory & concentration • Triggers energetic & euphoric uplift • Assists pain management • Strengthens back & and corrects posture • Tones abdominal muscles & even internal organs • Improves tone & articulation of speaking voice

Welcome

Welcome to the new Snapper studio site! Though we're pretty bare bones right now, this site will give you current information on studio events, as well as links to useful websites, and other information. Please let me know if you have a music site that you recommend, or if you have suggestions for features. There is space for your comments and discussion by every post -- look for the little envelope icon. I encourage you to pipe up with comments or questions. I would also love links to your musical work so that we can get to know each other as a community of singers.
